Procedural rules for handling complaints and suspected compliance violations
Preamble / Purpose
The CURRENTA Group (Currenta GmbH & Co. OHG, Currenta Beteiligungen KG, Currenta Geschäftsführungs-GmbH, Chemion Logistik GmbH, TECTRION GmbH, Netcur GmbH and Elcur GmbH, hereinafter referred to as “CURRENTA Group”) aims to generate substantial value for our shareholders, employees, and society as a whole. This must always be achieved in full compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Compliance with all statutory regulations, internal compliance policies, as well as the principles outlined in the Code of Conduct and the Supplier Code of Conduct, is therefore of utmost importance to the CURRENTA Group. Every employee is responsible for ensuring that their actions adhere to these principles. Any violations must be reported immediately to the respective supervisor, the responsible Compliance Officer, or the Human Resources department. In addition, the CURRENTA Group has established further reporting channels that allow for anonymous reporting of such violations or related suspicions, which are also accessible to external parties.
This ensures that violations are detected early, prevented where possible, and/or effective countermeasures are implemented. The established complaint and reporting system is thus an integral part of the CURRENTA Group’s Compliance Management System.
The following procedural rules apply to the reporting of violations or related suspicions.
Scope
Reporting Channels
All reports can be submitted via the whistleblowing system EQS Integrity Line.
Once your report has been submitted, you will receive a randomly generated case ID. Please note this ID together with your password. Both are required to access your secure mailbox. Use this mailbox to provide additional information or to view case-related updates from us. If you wish, all communication can remain completely anonymous.
Reports are forwarded exclusively to selected members of the Compliance Department who are specifically trained to handle such cases and to protect whistleblowers. These employees are bound by confidentiality, act independently and impartially, and are not subject to instructions regarding case handling. Conflicts of interest are excluded through a responsibility check.
In addition, the CURRENTA Group maintains further internal reporting channels.
Procedure
The following outlines the complaint and reporting process. Throughout the procedure, transparent communication regarding progress and status will be provided to the reporting person, if desired.
Both the effectiveness of the reporting process and the measures taken during the procedure are reviewed at least annually and adjusted as necessary.
- Acknowledgment of ReceiptWithin seven days, the reporting person will receive confirmation of receipt from CURRENTA Legal & Compliance.
- Responsibility Check
Upon receipt of the report, CURRENTA Legal & Compliance will conduct a conflict-of-interest check and coordinate further processing. If neutrality cannot be ensured or a conflict of interest cannot be ruled out, the case will be transferred to another entity (e.g., a law firm). - Case Handling
All information provided will be reviewed, and follow-up questions may be directed to the reporting person via the EQS Integrity Line, ensuring anonymity unless the individual chooses to disclose their identity.
- Development and Implementation of Measures
Based on the findings, CURRENTA Legal & Compliance will determine appropriate follow-up actions. These may include initiating further investigations, implementing corrective or preventive measures, or closing the case. The reporting person will be informed within three months about measures taken and planned, including the reasoning behind them. Expectations regarding corrective or preventive actions may be clarified beforehand. - Closure and Documentation
All steps and the conclusion of the procedure will be documented. After completion, any unnecessary information related to the report will be deleted in accordance with legal requirements.
Protection of the Reporting Person
The reporting person retains full control over their anonymity and the disclosure of personal information. The CURRENTA Group ensures that no reprisals occur in connection with the report. Any action or omission related to professional activity that results in or could result in an unjustified disadvantage, as well as any threat thereof, is strictly prohibited internally. Throughout the entire process, the integrity and protection of the reporting person are guaranteed.
